The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance for people of all faiths. President Harry Truman established the day as a national event in 1952. In 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed a resolution designating the first Thursday in May as the National Day of Prayer. This year's theme is:

This year the Capital Region National Day of Prayer (CRNDP) commemoration took take place on May 2, 2019 on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.

CRNDP 2019 was a day like none other. Learning and Discerning set this day apart from previous gatherings of this fashion. God divinely orchestrated the ministry flow of the day in a way that displayed His sovereignty, wisdom and power to captivate our attention. This was to bring us (collectively/corporately) to a place of learning and discerning the prophetic symbolism and significance of what God did in our midst - in order to make strategic future applications. The testimonies are overwhelming of God's manifested and abiding presence with us in every wave of worship and prayer:

  • First Wave: Intercessors covering the grounds of the West Lawn of the Capitol in prayer.

  • Second Wave: Multi-national and denominational minister Pre-gathering of united fervent prayer, passionate worship and connecting "heart to heart preparation" in the Gold Room of the Rayburn Building.

  • Third Wave: Corporate gathering on the West lawn, where we lifted up Jesus in worship and prayer "in the midst of the rain storm" with exuberant joy.

  • Fourth Wave: After the rain, many pastors and believers poured out onto the West Lawn of the Capitol with a relentless zeal and continued in fervent prayer and fellowship.

Vision, a Massive Prayer Assembly

CRNDP - Bringing together a multicultural, multi-denominational, cross-generational group of believers to pray for the church, our nation and for the current and next generation of leaders.

Senior pastors, ministry leaders, future leaders, intercessors, "all" believers praying, making proclamations and decrees out of the Heart of God.

How can we express our love one for another on the National Day of Prayer?

  1. In humility we gather to decrease so Christ can increase

  2. In humility we gather to pray for each other

  3. In humility we gather to worship together, valuing each other above ourselves

  4. In humility we gather to demonstrate our love for each other by placing the request of our brothers and sisters above our own

  5. In humility we gather to receive the mind of Christ -the Humble Servant who became obedient to death and was therefore exalted and given the name that is above every name, "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that

Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2)

It's not about our ability to perform well, sing well, preach well, entertain the crowds, excite the masses, or pump up the congregation - It's all about JESUS. All we want is for Jesus to be lifted up and at the center of everything we do. Let every word exalt His name, every song bring Him praise, let every voice proclaim His majesty, let every participant recognize His presence, let us humbly glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in word and deed.

Our prayer is simple, Jesus be lifted up! "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."John 12:32

Make Plans to Join us May 2nd as we LIFT HIM UP!
